About Us

Many people assume that we’re an organization that only serves the University of Regina campus, when in reality, that’s just where we started. Today, we serve people across the entire city. We’re excited to share with you the wide range of work we do across Southern Saskatchewan.

Our Programs

We have a wide range of programs to support the needs of all kinds of folks in our community. Our program staff share our passion for improving the lives of 2SLGBTQ+ people in Regina and across Southern Saskatchewan.

Our Response to COVID19

Out of respect and care for our community, we have made the difficult decision to close both our campus and community locations for the foreseeable future. Our staff have been working hard to provide our communities with online and virtual programming.

The UR Pride Centre for Sexuality and Gender Diversity is a non-profit service provider housed at the University of Regina. UR Pride provides services and programming for the entire community of Regina, not just for the University of Regina.

We’re proud to serve the entire campus community, and to be able to provide services to all folks living or spending time in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Make a Donation

We rely on donations to support most of our work in the community. If you’re looking for a way to support 2SLGBTQ+ communities in Regina, we invite you to make a donation.

2SLGBTQ+ on campus

Originally named GBLUR (Gays, Bisexuals & Lesbians of the University of Regina), we have our roots as a campus organization. There’s tons of cool 2SLGBTQ+ stuff happening at the University, and we’re always keen to hear from students, staff, and faculty.

2SLGBTQ+ in community

In 2005, we began to expand our work and started providing support to 2SLGBTQ+ people off the University campus. Today, we have a wide range of community programs open to all people, no matter their connection to the University.

Meet Our Team

Our organization is made up of great people, including our board of directors and our staff. Everyone on our team shares a love of 2SLGBTQ+ communities, and have a wide range of experiences that help inform our work.

Calling all Crochet and Knitting Enthusiasts!

UR Pride and Queen City Pride are collaborating on a Winter Activities Program to encourage folks to enjoy some winter fun (safely!)

We’re hosting Zoom knitting and crocheting workshops in early February to make things like hats, mittens, and scarves. The crafted items are made in tandem with our Rainbow SnowPals Contest and are used to decorate Snowpals & encouraged to be donated after completion. All participants who sign up before the end of January will receive a “craft kit”! If that sounds like something you’re interested in, please fill out this forum to the best of your ability! You can contact community@urpride.ca if you had any concerns or questions!
