UR Pride has had the opportunity to work with many wonderful organizations over the years.  Here is a list of local LGBTQ friendly organizations!

AIDS Programs South Saskatchewan (APSS)

AIDS Programs South Saskatchewan is a community based, not for profit organization that helps women, children and men living with HIV/AIDS in Regina and Southern Saskatchewan. We are the largest direct support service agency for people living with AIDS in Regina and Southern Saskatchewan and our Needle Exchange/Community Capacity Building program serves over 10,000 people annually.

Camp Fyrefly

Camp fYrefly was founded in 2004 at the University of Alberta ( and is Canada’s largest, volunteer-based, summer leadership retreat for sexual minority and gender variant (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified, two-spirited, intersexed, queer, questioning, and allied youth). In 2008, in partnership with the Faculty of Education, University of Regina and the College of Education, University of Saskatchewan, committees of dedicated volunteers were formed by Anthony Bidulka and Herb McFaull to bring Camp fYrefly to Saskatchewan.

Creative City Centre

The Creative City Centre is a creative hub in the downtown area that will give artists a space to create and collaborate, and will engage the community in arts and culture through a myriad of new programming and activities.

Gay and Lesbian Community of Regina (GLCR)

The GLCR is a Non-profit private membership organization that has been community owned and operated since 1972. We are staffed by volunteers.

Prairie Pride Chorus

Prairie Pride Chorus is a choir of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people, their family and friends.  Prairie Pride Chorus learns and performs quality music while representing the diversity of the GLBT people to the larger community.

Queen City Pride

Queen City Pride is a week long non-profit annual celebration of the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, queer) community in Saskatchewan’s capital city, Regina. The festival is run by Regina Pride Inc., a volunteer based committee.

Each year, we strive to create a fun filled festival for all, acknowledging the diversity, history, equality, and achievements that have been made. It is a growing event here in Regina, and our committee encourages everyone to come out throughout the week to have fun. We hope to make each consecutive year even better than the last, but that can only happen with your support.

Queer City Cinema

Queer City Cinema (based in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada – The Queen City) is the largest and oldest ongoing queer arts festival between British Columbia and Ontario. This biennial festival was initiated in 1996, and saw its 8th installment in June 2010. A total of 77 artworks were exhibited, screened and performed at QCC 8, representing 97 artists from twelve countries.

Rainbow Wellness Resource Centre

Mission:  To provide and promote health and wellness resources to those in Southern Saskatchewan who have been/felt discriminated against due to their perceived or actual sexual and/or gender identity.

Rainbow Youth Centre

In operation since 1982, Rainbow works with young people 11 to 25 years old in a variety of individual and group counseling, skill development, educational, recreational, and direct service programs. Our organization strives to meet the needs of our youth as they grow, develop, and change.

Regina Police Service

UR Pride has been working closely with the Regina Police Service over the past few months, especially the officers of the Cultural and Community Diversity Unit.  Members have been out to various events including pride week as well as Queer Youth Group!

Regina’s Public Interest Research Group (RPIRG)

The Regina Public Interest Research Group (RPIRG) is a student funded resource centre at the University of Regina committed to social and environmental justice. We provide the resources and funding necessary to enable students to organize around issues through research, education, and action.

The R.S.A.R. is Imperial And Sovereign Court of Regina Saskatchewan. Their organization fund-raises for non-profit organizations through fantastic drag shows and other events.

TransSask Support Services

TransSask is Saskatchewan’s province wide Transgender support and resource network.  We believe ALL citizens of Saskatchewan, no matter their gender, identity, or gender expression are deserving of dignity and their basic human rights.

University of Regina’s Women’s Centre

The University of Regina Women’s Centre provides safe and supportive space for all students, regardless of gender, to access services or just come hang out and relax, read, study or visit.

At the Women’s Centre you will find:
~A lounge area where you can relax and meet friends. There is also a microwave and fridge available.
~Free coffee, tea, tampons, and condoms are available.
~An alternative resource centre with feminist literature.
~Space for meetings and study groups
~Designated “quiet” room
~Gift Shop
