COVID19 & UR Pride

A lot of folks are anxious about COVID19... we get it.

A Message from UR Pride

Out of respect and care for our community, we have made the difficult decision to close both our campus and community locations indefinitely. Our staff have been working hard to provide our communities with online and virtual programming.

In the meantime, you can connect with our staff at

Please stay tuned for any changes or updates.

For any questions or concerns about UR Pride’s response to COVID19, please contact our Executive Director.

how has covid19 impacted programs?

We’re happy to say that we have had to discontinue very few programs due to COVID19.

All of our programs and events have had to move online, and we encourage you to check out our programs pages for more information about how to access these.

Most notably, our two youth groups (13-18 & 16-24) have moved online, and youth can register for these by registering for our Discord server. If you’re a parent and have questions about how this Discord server is being supervised, feel free to connect to our Director of Community Programs

We also invite folks over 18+ to register for our Discord server available only to people over 18.

COVID19 Emergency Response Fund

The UR Pride Centre has created a COVID19 Emergency Response Fund for 2SLGBTQ+ People to support 2SLGBTQ+ people during the COVID19 pandemic and crisis.

This fund is specifically meant to prioritize 2SLGBTQ+ people who have few or no access to other funds, including Employment Insurance (EI) or the newly introduced Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB).

How to Apply

Unfortunately, we’ve had to close applications to the fund, as we’ve exhausted all donations.

If you’ve already applied, you are in the queue to be considered for funding.

Please check back.
